Stem challenge 

This week in stem we are learning to problem solve as a team we made a chair made out of paper and tape we had five pieces of paper and never ending tape  the people how are in my group are Rico,Anya,and me this week we worked well by being creative and having different ideas.

 This week I will be sharing some of the activities I have been doing at home


First I made Gingerbread cookie I made them with my Mum And My Brother Axl  we shaped them as big wide stars. My brother loves gingerbread cookie we both made our own.Then Axl gobbled all his down in the nick of time and then he begged for some of mine  I absolutely Loved Them.


Teddy bears

Lots of kids in New Zealand have been putting their teddy bears in front of their window my family and I went on a short walk and kept our distance and i went on my bike and my brother Axl went on his scooter went to count all the teddy bears we counted 49 and we put some teddy bears in front of our window as well

Golf course
Behind my backyard there is a golf course nobody was playing golf or anything so my dad and i and  Axl decided we would go for a walk in the golf course on our way back we bumped into Cody Taylor and he was with his children he was an all black my dad said Hi and he said hi as well we continued our walk back home.


Dog house
i made a house for my dog out of cardboard it has a little door he can climb in and out of and two little windows at the front and one big window at the back and has a little roof for my dog to go on and I did this all by myself. Thanks for Reading !

UNREAL ARCHERY TAG Archery tag is Amazing and here I am going to tell you why. When you play archery tag you have these big bows and arrows. We had to break up into pairs. My pair was Scarlett. That was for practicing we didn't have the targets like you would normally see in stores. We had these targets that had a little wall with holes when you hit them they fall out. The game was like that too. We had to hit people with the arrows and get all of the other teams holes out before they got all ours out.

 We had big inflatable things to hide behind. We were allowed to go into the middle to collect arrows without getting hit. We did this with Mr Gray and a couple of other parents joined in.We played on a big grass field.

Tuatara

The Tuatara

This week we have been learning to write an explanation about animal life cycles, we had to pick animal and we got the tuatara. we had to write about them on google docs.stage one is the Egg stage two is the hatch-ling stage three Juvenile stage 4 is adult.  what went well was I used technical language and was proud of myself for learning new words. My next step would probably be working on my punctuation. Have you ever written about a animals life cycle.

Tuatara life cycle

Have you ever wondered how a Tuataras life cycle works?  well today I am going to tell you. 

Stage 1 The Egg 

When a female Tuatara lays its Eggs is laid in the soil in the ground an egg stays in the deep  burrow for 12 to 15 months before hatching. The eggs are soft and leathery when born.when an egg is warm it is a female and if the eggs are cold it is  a male.when the baby tuatara is just born it is born with three eyes. 

Stage 2 the Hatchling 

when a tuatara reaches a hatchling it loses its third eye because the scales cover over it when the tuatara becomes a hatchling over time the mum leaves it to defend themselves the length of a hatchling tuatara gets up to 12-15cm long for the first 15 years it starts being called a Juveniles.

Stage 3 Juveniles 

When a hatchling reaches Juvenile the Juveniles only hunt in the day because adults hunt at night and will kill the Juvenile tuatara Juveniles is not when they mate or have babies 

Stage 4 Adult 

Adult tuataras are 45-60cm an  Adult tuatara only hibernates in the winter to avoid cold weather tuataras have been around since dinosaurs they eat beetles,crickets,spiders,frogs,lizards and birds 

thats how a tuataras life cycle works.

The sand dunes

we are learning about sand dunes. Sand dunes are something that helps protect us from thunder storms,wind. and anything  harmful they look like small mountain made out of sand they look like this.

 sand dunes can look different and none of them are the same the can be all different shapes and sizes.room 4  went to the beach and we  built our own small sand dune i was in the blue group we meet a nice girl named Cecilia and she taught us all about the sand dunes and taught us about the plants that are on the beach and the animals that live in the plants some of animal and plants like ice plant pingao and a couple others the creatures were katapoui lizard sand-hoppers. We decorated our sand dunes and put alot of things that represent the beach i enjoyed learning a bout the sand dunes and i hope you did to.what did you like abot the sand dunes ? 

how to play snap

we have been learning about instructions for writing and imperative verbs. A imperative verb is like a bossy word so for example words would be ,Do,don´t,Stop,think things like that. A instruction is like an order or a command so kind of like if your parents asked you to move the glass bottle carefully that is called instructions and a imperative verb is kinda the same that's what we have have been doing for writing so a instruction is like this will be an instructions.so say i say walk 3 steps forward to the right and then take a turn to the left and also walk 4 steps forward and your at your destination thanks for reading my Blog Bye.

The mysterious musseum

The museum the mummy's  back in the day when people past away in Egypt  the people there would
Put them in a sort of  human shaped bed and then they would put with things they might  need for there after life

When we first got at the museum there was a guy named Anthony we went into a white room and we learnt about the arctic
